Email [email protected] with the app version, iOS version, device model, and a short description of the issue. Do not email private pottery records, photos, recordings, exports, receipts, or Apple Account credentials.
Start a piece and record progress
Create a piece from Studio, choose the default workflow or a custom stage template, and add Captures as the work changes. A Capture can include an observation, voice recording, and chosen or newly taken photo. Inbox lets you review a draft before attaching it to a piece. Stage history records when progress moved forward or back.
Use Gesture mode
Select the piece you are working on before entering Gesture mode. Keep your hand visible to the front camera and follow the on-screen hand skeleton and hold-zone feedback. Gesture mode starts a Capture and opens the rear-camera workflow; it does not provide free-form text entry. You can take or retake a photo, add a voice observation, save, and remain in the gesture workflow. Switch back to Touch mode whenever you need normal editing.
Batches, comparison, and export
Create batches inside a piece to record clay, glaze application, firing plans and actual results, outcomes, test tiles, and failures. Compare two batches from that piece to isolate changed variables. Piece export can produce a detailed PDF or structured CSV folder; sharing can produce a selected image or PDF. Review the generated preview before sending it anywhere.
Free plan, purchase, and restore
Every feature is available for the first 10 user-created pieces. Unlimited Pieces is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that removes only the limit on creating additional pieces; it is not a subscription. Existing records and their capture, comparison, export, backup, restore, editing, and deletion remain available without the entitlement. Use Restore Purchases in Settings with the Apple Account that made the purchase.
Backup, recovery, and permissions
Create a complete backup from Settings and keep it in a location you control. Restore validates the selected backup before replacing data. If a camera, microphone, speech-recognition, or Photos feature is unavailable, review ClayRecall’s permissions in iOS Settings, then retry from the feature that requested it.
