Privacy Policy

ClayRecall is a local-first pottery journal for iPhone. No account is required. ThothForge does not operate a server that receives or stores your pottery library, photos, recordings, observations, recipes, firing records, or exported files.

Information stored on your device

The app stores the pieces, custom stage templates, captures, observations, batch variables, glaze layers, firing records, test tiles, failures, photos, audio recordings, and preferences you choose to create. These records remain in protected app storage on your iPhone unless you explicitly export or share them.

Camera, photos, microphone, and speech recognition

ClayRecall requests access only when you use the related feature. The camera can photograph your work. In Gesture mode, the front camera is used for on-device hand-pose recognition and its frames are not saved or uploaded; the rear camera takes a photo only after your action. You may choose existing photos from the system picker. The microphone records observations you initiate. If you request transcription, Apple’s system speech-recognition service may process the audio under Apple’s terms. The original recording remains available in the app so you can decide whether to keep audio, use the transcription, or correct the text.

Sharing, export, feedback, and purchases

Sharing and export require your explicit action and show a preview before Apple’s system share sheet. You choose the destination and are responsible for copies stored elsewhere. The feedback entry opens a system email composer addressed to [email protected]; ClayRecall does not automatically attach your records, photos, audio, exports, device identifier, or credentials. Apple processes the optional Unlimited Pieces purchase. ThothForge does not receive payment-card details.

Tracking, deletion, and contact

ClayRecall has no advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking, and ThothForge does not collect data from the app. You can delete records and media in the app. Deleting the app removes its local data unless you exported a copy elsewhere. Questions: [email protected].
